No carer starts work with us until every step is complete.
We meet every applicant to understand their experience, values and motivation for care work.
We verify identity and the right to work in the UK in line with Home Office requirements.
An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, including the adult barred list, for work with vulnerable adults.
We take up references and ask about any gaps in employment history.
Mandatory training is completed and kept up to date, and we check certificates.
We brief the carer on the setting and gather feedback after placements to keep standards high.

All of our carers are trained to recognise the signs of abuse and neglect and know that they must report concerns immediately, without fear of blame. We work with the placement's safeguarding lead and the local authority safeguarding team where needed.
